Since 1912, Cook County Hospital, the oldest public hospital in the nation, has provided healthcare to thousands of Chicago metro area citizens. Housed in a contemporary setting, the new hospital brings the most up-to-date technology and efficient design into a state-of-the-art building, while continuing a tradition of community-focused hospital care. Designed for optimum patient care and financial performance, the 1,185,000 square foot hospital provides 464 inpatient, critical, specialty, and general beds; comprehensive outpatient specialty/diagnostic and treatment facilities; and an adjacent, 2,100-car parking structure.
